Eulogies Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the duo.

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can now express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "any day without mirth".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to block the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".
