Barça to Host Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition over two years after they moved out so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch on 7 November. The club said they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
